What is your current role?

I am the owner of a Family Child Care Home.

What was your pathway to your Early Childhood Educator role?

My career path started in a call center environment and when I became a grandmother this was an eye opener for a change in my career which I was ready to begin. I always wanted to open my own business and be able to spend time with my grandchildren at the same time while helping families with childcare. The childcare industry is a great opportunity for me, this allowed me to open the doors for new opportunities along my career path. I could work for myself and be my boss at the same time which was a big bonus while earning an income as a living.

What training do you have?

I have my undergraduate degree In Business from the University Of Phoenix. I have my graduate degree In Early Childhood Education from Western Michigan University.

What is your why?

Early childhood education is important a strong foundation helps children develop the skills they need to become well-functioning adults. Providing high-quality care in a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment gives every child the opportunity for growth and creates a solid foundation for children to be ready as a lifelong learner and a critically-thinking citizen. I honestly believe this and that is my why.
