About Membership Options
Thank you for your interest in the Mainspring Early Care Alliance! Currently, membership is for licensed, in-home providers in Kent County. As a member you’ll gain access to our resources, enjoy the support of a provider-centered community, and have a voice in an alliance that’s committed to your success and overall well-being!
If you’re not a licensed, in-home provider in Kent County, we’d still like the opportunity to connect. We understand that the need for services extends beyond Kent County and child care types, so we are capturing interest in Mainspring to help inform the next steps for the alliance.

Mainspring Initial Services
Membership to Mainspring Early Care Alliance initial services is of no cost. Additional services and levels are being considered, some of which may include a shared cost. Members will be able to “opt-in” to those services and agree to terms and cost-sharing fees.
Services at launch include access to an individualized membership portal.
- reMynders – Provides a place to track child care business due dates such as License renewal and CPR/FA certification expiration.
- Shared Events Calendar – Mainspring, community partners, and provider-hosted events (both formal and informal) will be captured on the calendar.
- Resource Directory – The resource directory is peer-sourced with the goal of saving time and money. Members can add service providers that they’ve had good experiences with.
- Document Library – In partnership with Civitas Strategies, a catalog of child care business documents and video resources are available for members.
- Help Desk – Need assistance with a Mainspring service? Struggling with a child care business-related issue? Need to be connected to a community, local, or state entity? Submit a Help Desk request.
- Expert Seminars and Networking Opportunities
- Wellness Assistance Plan – This is a Health Benefit for Members. Mainspring has partnered with Health Advocate™ to provide EAP support including 24/7 access to their licensed counselors plus up to 5 in-person/virtual counseling sessions per issue per year. The program is focused on helping members “get back on track” with issues they are facing and helping them become their best selves so they in turn can be the best caregivers. The program includes financial and legal assistance as well.
- Opportunity Thrive – Opportunity Thrive provides a Personal Wellness Inventory to measure an individual’s emotional and mental wellbeing. Members will also have the opportunity to participate in group or 1:1 coaching with their certified coaches based on the Personal Wellness Inventory.
